In the first phase of this design project we started a brainstorm with as main subject festivals. After this first brainstorm we made the decision to put our focus on families (visiting festivals). After a lot of investigating and user interviews, we came to the conclusion that children who are unable to find their parents in the crowd (problem on festivals) is a real problem. The product is a strap with a RFID tag. Each child receives at entering the festival a strap with an RFID-tag. At the same time parents are able to download an app which makes it possible to connect the code of the RFID tag with the app. If a child loses his parents, he can search a Find Me-module (there are a couple of these modules placed in the festival area). If the RFID-tag is scanned the parents receive a message (on the app) with the location of the child. But if parents are lost their child, they can make other parents aware of the missing of their child. They are able to send a picture of their lost child to all the other parents (with the app).
